On day one, we’ll pick you up from Errachidia airport and take you to the Merzouga desert. During the drive, you can take stunning photos of the beautiful Ziz Valley. After about an hour, we’ll reach Erfoud, visit a fossil workshop, and then continue to the Erg Chebbi dunes. Here, you’ll experience a camel ride at sunset, followed by a delicious dinner and a comfortable night’s sleep at a desert camp on the dunes’ edge.
The Day 2 of your trip, you will wake up early to witness the beautiful sunrise on the Erg Chebbi dunes. After that, you will return to the campsite to have breakfast. Later, we will depart from the camp/hotel and head towards the villages of Hassi Lbied, Merzouga, and Khamlia. During this journey, you will visit the canal irrigation system located in a small oasis on the edge of the dunes. You will also have the opportunity to explore Merzouga village and purchase traditional Touareg dress and turban if you wish. Next, you will visit Khamlia village, where you will be entertained with soulful Gnawa music. After this, we will drive you back to the camp or hotel.
On Day 3 of your trip, you will head to Erg Chebbi dunes and then proceed to Rissani. I highly recommend visiting the market in Rissani, especially on Tuesday-Thursday or Sunday, as it is authentic and worth experiencing. Before exploring the Souk, you may visit Moulay Ali Sherif’s tombs. For lunch, you can order the local pizza called Madfona. Your driver or guide can recommend a good place to eat. After lunch, we will drive you back to Errachidia Airport via Erfoud. Finally, you will be dropped off at the airport before your flight departure.
